Organization First, Renovation Second
This is one of my favorite subjects since I love organization, I can never say this enough and I will keep mentioning this over and over again because people never really understand how important this is when they are thinking about doing any kind of renovation for their homes. Organization is key when it comes to planning out a home decoration course, sometimes people want to redecorate simply because their home is a mess…well clean it up and you won’t need to spend so much money on home improvement. There is no need to spend more money then necessary, so why not get a few pieces of furniture and increase the organization of your home to solve the problem and save money.
Before you think about doing any types of renovations in your home seriously consider first applying some organization and see how that works out for you. It is really important to work on that first because in a lot of cases that is the problem that most people are facing. Then they think that the solution to have a well designed house is to design it again, well that really isn’t a solution, instead try putting in something that will help out with simplicity and reduce the amount of things you have in the room. I would recommend something such as hanging shelves for example because they take up no space on the floor at all. Put in shelving anywhere you can really to store things in, this will create an overall simplicity and will work very nicely with any home design.
There are hundreds of different types of shelves out there all that can be used to increase organization before renovation even enters the mind. Browse through as many selections as possible before you consider doing anything else, you can find many different types, some could even be customized specifically for your home. Look at how other homes are designed as well, this will really help out because it will give you some ideas on how to increase organization while at the same time keeping a very stylish and elegant looking home on the interior. Walk around your home and take notice of anything that doesn’t feel organized or simple, the way I usually tell is by anything that collects a lot of dust, if this is the case then something has to go or be reduced somehow by storing it in places such as a garage; which too can use a lot of shelving to help out with organization.
